Introduction to Android Operating System

The Android operating system is the most used in the world, taking first place and iOS is in second place. Smartphones trademarks like Motorola or Alcatel are in their use. Xiaomi and Honor too, but they enhance it by making their variations for the Chinese market. Android is the most used operating system because it's easy, simple and faster to learn. And this OS is open-source, which means that every programmer can create his own variation and make it more lightweight for the device's performance.

Story

Android's first release was in 2007 by Google. But it was known 2 years ago in 2005 before Google acquired Android Inc, at a great time that they had an idea of creating an operating system based on the Linux kernel for smartphones. Its goal was creating an OS totally free and open-source. In 2008, the first Android version was released called Android 1.0, which was used for the first Android device called the HTC Dream. In the past years, Android has evolved greatly with newer releases. And now, it is included on smartwatches and televisions. The user interface is friendly and easy to use. All its design is customizable. Applications services are only Google Play Store by default, but some developers have created F-Droid, which is a good alternative to Play Store, including no-ads applications and is totally free.
